This conference paper presented the key results of the research project 'Women in the Scottish Creative Industries', funded by the European Social Fund. This research explored the equality policy and practice in companies in the Scottish creative sector, from the perspective of both employers and employees, and identified examples of good practice that might be adopted throughout the creative sector. The research consisted of 51 case studies of companies and sole-traders in the creative industries in Scotland; and a series of seven focus groups with professional, organisational and employee representatives in the Scottish creative sector.en
